Senior Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist

The Client is seeking a Senior Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist to lead and support privacy evaluations of new technologies, systems, and programs to ensure legal and policy compliance. This role requires an expert in privacy legislation and digital identity frameworks, capable of assessing privacy risks in diverse, modern IT environments.

Job Description:

Must Haves:

·         Extensive hands-on experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and developing related policy.

·         Deep knowledge of privacy legislation: FIPPA, PHIPA, and PIPEDA.

·         Expertise in evaluating privacy risks involving legacy systems, cloud, web, and mobile integrations.

·         Experience with digital identity trust frameworks (e.g., PCTF, eIDAS) and standards like NIST, FIDO, SAML, and OpenID Connect.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Lead the development of PIAs to assess compliance with privacy laws and mitigate privacy risks.

·         Ensure alignment with federal, provincial, and municipal legislation, OPS policies, and international privacy standards.
