Senior Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist

The Client is seeking a Senior Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist to lead the evaluation of digital solutions and programs that involve the use of personal and health-related information. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with privacy legislation and mitigating associated risks.

Job Location: Toronto, ON/Hybrid

Job Description:

Must Haves:

·         Strong knowledge of FIPPA, PHIPA, and PIPEDA

·         Proven experience conducting privacy assessments involving personal information

·         Demonstrated ability to lead PIAs for Ontario health or D&V systems, especially for online/mobile platforms handling sensitive data

Nice to Have:

·         Prior experience with the Ontario Public Service (OPS)

Key Responsibilities:

·         Lead or support the development of PIAs to ensure legal and policy compliance

·         Assess privacy risks related to new technologies, systems, programs, or policies

·         Recommend mitigations aligned with provincial and federal legislation, OPS policies, and internationally accepted Fair Information Practices
