Our Ontario Government Client is seeking a Strategic Vendor Program Manager to lead the development and oversight of vendor performance monitoring programs for IT-related contracts and services. This role requires extensive experience in vendor management, contract governance, and program delivery within a complex, multi-faceted environment.
Must Haves:
7+ years of experience in developing, implementing, and managing vendor performance programs for IT contracts.
Extensive experience in contract governance, performance metrics, and strategic vendor management.
Knowledge of public sector policies, procedures, and procurement agreements.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Vendor Program Management:
Develop and oversee vendor performance monitoring tools, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
Design and implement vendor performance models, including scorecards and evaluation schedules.
Create Standard Operating Procedures for vendor management processes, with an understanding of contract law and legislation.
Develop corrective measures and risk mitigation strategies for vendor performance.
Manage governance structures and strategic vendor IT roadmaps.
Program Change Management and Delivery:
Create and implement program change management frameworks.
Develop training materials and manage program release requirements.
Lead teams in executing program change management plans.
Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation Skills:
Lead program strategy development from inception to close-out.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
Facilitate negotiations and manage complex project timelines.
Technical Skills:
Lead multidisciplinary teams in IT solution development, testing, and integration.
Provide strategic advice on I&IT infrastructure, contract management, and emerging technology trends.
Apply advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio, Power BI, and other tools.
Public Sector Experience:
Ensure compliance with Ontario Public Service policies, directives, and procurement agreements.
Leverage experience with public sector applications and third-party vendor management.
