    Position: Senior Project Manager/Leader

    Duration: 1.5 Years assignment (contract)
    Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
    Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

    This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.


    About the Engagement

    Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager/Leader with extensive public‑sector healthcare expertise to provide strategic leadership, guide complex IT initiatives, and support mission‑critical applications within healthcare ecosystem. The consultant will lead large‑scale programs involving system sustainment, regulatory compliance, healthcare integrations, enterprise architectures, service management, and cross‑functional team coordination.


    Scope

    • Lead, coordinate, and deliver complex IT projects supporting public‑sector healthcare systems.

    • Provide senior‑level strategic and operational advice on business, financial, and resourcing impacts.

    • Develop project plans, feasibility studies, charters, business cases, and communication materials.

    • Support ITIL‑aligned operational processes, issue escalation, risk mitigation, and service delivery.


    Assignment Deliverables

    • Detailed project plans, technical deliverables, and progress reports

    • Feasibility studies, business cases, funding/resource plans

    • Communication documents, stakeholder briefings, PMO/CAB submissions

    • Updates to design documents, program plans, runbooks, build books, deployment guides.


    Expertise Required

    Must Have:

    • 5+ years of experience in the healthcare sector (LTC, EMR, HIS, OHRS-compliant systems)

    ·         Experience with ITIL Service Management processes (5+ years).

    • Strong understanding of PHIPA and privacy/security requirements

    • 5+ years of senior‑level Project Management experience

    • Proven experience leading Application Development, QA, and Project teams

    • Expertise managing complex IT projects using formal PM methodologies

    • Experience developing feasibility studies, business cases, charters, and RFx documents

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience with enterprise architecture–driven healthcare solutions

    • Experience with complex regulatory or legislative change management.
