Position: Senior Report Developer
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Report Developer to support the delivery of enterprise Business Intelligence and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI, Azure technologies, and SQL Server.
The consultant will work on high-priority reporting and analytics initiatives, developing scalable data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions that support operational decision-making and business performance management. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project resources to translate complex business requirements into impactful Power BI solutions.
Scope
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets
Develop and optimize Power BI data models and reporting solutions
Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and reporting requirements
Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources using Power Query
Build high-performing and maintainable semantic data models.
Assignment Deliverables
Power BI reports and dashboards
Data models and datasets
Business and technical documentation
Reporting requirements analysis
Data visualizations and KPI reporting solutions.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Proven work experience as a Power BI Report Developer
Demonstrated experience with M, DAX and Power Query
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure ecosystem and the Power Platform
Proven experience with SQL Server and Power BI Datasets
Proven, demonstratable experience in data modeling and data visualizations for Power BI; working with different data schemas and BI implementation methodologies.
Nice to Have:
Experience developing and supporting enterprise reporting solutions within Public Sector.
Experience working with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.
Experience implementing row-level security (RLS) and data governance practices within Power BI.
