    Position: Senior Software Developer

    Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
    Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
    Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

    This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

    About the Engagement

    Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to support large‑scale, multi‑client web application initiatives within a complex Public Service environment. The developer will play a key role in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise‑grade systems using Java, RESTful services, relational databases, and secure integration practices. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical capabilities, and an ability to work collaboratively in Agile, multi‑team environments.

    Scope

    • Translating technical system specifications into working, high‑quality, tested applications

    • Developing detailed technical designs and programming specifications

    • Writing, generating, and maintaining code across large-scale systems

    • Conducting unit testing, debugging, and documentation.

    Assignment Deliverables

    • High‑quality application code, scripts, and related technical artefacts

    • Technical design documentation and programming specifications

    • Unit test plans, test results, and code review documentation

    • Support for system integration, deployments, and release readiness.

    Expertise Required

    Must Have:

    • 10+ years of experience as a designer and developer in the large-scale multi-client web applications

    • 10+ year of hands-on working experience of Java development with Oracle or SQL database

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience of RestAPI, RESTful WebServices

    • Knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, Oauth2.0, SSL Certificates).

    Nice to Have:

    • Ability to work effectively within multi‑disciplinary teams

    • Ability to present new ideas and develop innovative approaches.
