Your Role
Position: Senior Software Developer
Duration: 9 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to support enterprise-level application development, integration, and data management initiatives.
The successful consultant will work within complex, large-scale environments, contributing to the design, development, and optimization of portal-based applications, enterprise data systems, and analytics platforms. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle databases, J2EE-based architectures, and modern data tools, along with strong analytical and documentation capabilities.
Scope
Develop and maintain enterprise applications in n-tier J2EE environments
Design and optimize database solutions and SQL queries
Develop dashboards and reporting solutions using Databricks
Support integration of enterprise services and APIs.
Assignment Deliverables
Working, tested application components and enhancements
Database schemas, SQL queries, and data extracts
Databricks dashboards and reporting artifacts
Technical design and architecture documentation.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Extensive experience with Oracle databases and SQL-based query languages
Strong experience with n-tier J2EE-based portal and web application environments
Experience with enterprise service bus (ESB), IBM DataPower, and web services
Experience developing and supporting Microsoft Databricks dashboards
Nice to Have:
Proven ability to create technical artefacts (schemas, queries, reports, performance optimization)
Experience working within enterprise system constraints and complex architectures.
