About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Specialized IT Consultant to support multiple workstreams within a large‑scale Registry Backlog Remediation initiative. This role supports foundational registry systems that underpin Electronic Health Record ecosystem, including high‑volume identity and provider registries. The successful consultant will provide hands‑on technical expertise in Java development, Master Data Management, and healthcare interoperability, while contributing to application modernization, security remediation, and service optimization initiatives.

Scope

• Support application development and maintenance across multiple registry workstreams

• Design, build, and optimize Java‑based services to improve performance and security

• Support backlog remediation and root‑cause analysis activities

• Collaborate with application teams, stakeholders, and technical partners to deliver secure and scalable solutions.

Assignment Deliverables

• Well‑designed, efficient, and testable Java code

• Reusable Java libraries and frameworks aligned with best practices

• RESTful APIs and service‑oriented integrations

• Unit and integration test results.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience in a Senior or Specialized IT Consultant role

• Extensive Java development experience, including service‑oriented architectures

• Strong hands‑on experience with JSP, Servlets, and Java web frameworks (e.g., Struts, Spring)

• Demonstrated experience with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management – Identity Hub (Standard Edition)

• Practical experience with HL7 and/or FHIR healthcare messaging standards.

Nice to Have:

• Experience operating within complex public‑sector or highly regulated environments

• Familiarity with Provincial Registries (PCR, PPR) or similar master data systems

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder facilitation.
