Senior Specialized IT Consultant

The Government Client is seeking a Senior Specialized IT Consultant to act as a Lead Data Engineer, supporting application development, maintenance, and optimization within the Registry backlog remediation initiative. This role requires deep expertise in Java development and IBM platforms, with a strong focus on delivering secure, scalable solutions.

Job Location: Toronto, ON/Hybrid

Job Description:

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of extensive Java development experience

• 5+ years programming with JSP, Servlets, and web frameworks (Struts, Spring)

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Identity Hub (formerly Initiate)

• 3+ years of experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)

Responsibilities:

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of applications to deliver new services, optimize performance, and reduce vulnerabilities

• Provide oversight across multiple workstreams of the Registry backlog remediation initiative

• Collaborate with team members, sharing expertise and communicating effectively through active listening and clear articulation

• Ensure timely delivery of solutions, adapting to tight deadlines and shifting priorities

• Anticipate risks and develop contingency plans to achieve best outcomes

• Leverage diverse team skills and experiences to maximize results and support organizational goals.
