Position: Senior Systems Testing QA Specialist
Duration: 5 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support the quality assurance, testing, and validation of large-scale enterprise applications within a complex public sector environment.
The successful consultant will be responsible for leading and executing end-to-end testing activities, developing testing strategies, creating and maintaining test artifacts, supporting automated testing initiatives, validating system performance, and ensuring compliance with accessibility and quality standards. The consultant will work closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, architects, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Scope
Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies, test plans, and testing frameworks for enterprise solutions.
Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases, scripts, and test suites.
Perform functional, integration, system, regression, performance, accessibility, and user acceptance testing.
Conduct AODA compliance validation and accessibility testing.
Support testing activities across Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project environments.

Expertise Required
Must Have:
10+ years of experience in software testing in enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale systems
Hands-on working experience in manual testing and automated testing tools and frameworks.
Extensive experience with AODA testing and compliance
Experience in test automation tools such as Selenium or Postman for API testing.
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration tools like Jenkins, Git, or GitLab.
Nice to Have:
Experience with information management principles and practices.
Knowledge of at least one programming language.
