Senior Technology Architect

The Client is seeking a Senior Technology Architect to provide expert-level support for mainframe IMS and DB2 infrastructure as part of ongoing modernization and data centre transition initiatives.

Job Description:

Must Haves:

·         10+ years’ experience supporting mainframe IMS & DB2 infrastructure

·         Proven experience leading refresh, migration, and team coordination activities

·         Expertise in replacing large-scale enterprise services and hardware

·         Strong knowledge of modern Data Centre models and operations

·         10+ years’ experience with complex data centre uplift and migration projects

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will provide operational support for mainframe software and systems, manage incident resolution and daily operational changes, and deliver on service level commitments. You’ll support decommissioning, software optimization, and modernization initiatives, as well as perform upgrades and maintenance on mainframe environments. The role requires developing and documenting technical procedures, capturing system data, and identifying root causes of issues. You’ll also balance project work with ongoing “keep-the-lights-on” (KTLO) tasks to ensure the stability and efficiency of critical systems. On-call support may be required
