Senior Technology Architect

We are looking for a skilled Cyber Security and Privacy Specialist to join our Ontario Government Client. This role requires a candidate with over 5 years of experience in adapting and implementing key cybersecurity frameworks like NIST CSF v2, CIS Controls v8, COBIT, and ISO 27001 within large public sector environments, including K-12 school boards. A mandatory CISSP or CISM certification is required.

Cyber Security and Privacy

• 5+ years’ experience mapping and adapting frameworks like NIST CSF v2, CIS Controls v8, COBIT, ISO 27001

• 5+ years’ experience integrating security frameworks and controls into governance, risk management, and change management

• Experience with capability maturity models like CMMI and CMMC is desirable

• Strong knowledge of privacy frameworks (NIST Privacy Framework, ISO/IEC 27701) and online safety policies

Communication Skills and Experience

• 10+ years’ experience presenting to senior management and external stakeholders

• Extensive experience preparing reports and recommendations for diverse audiences

Industry Certifications / Relevant Degrees

• CISSP or CISM required

• Privacy certification (CIPP) desirable

Public Sector Experience

• 5+ years’ experience working with large public sector environments, preferably K-12
