Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements
• Collaborate with team members as a subject matter expert (SME) to make team decisions
• Engage with multiple teams to contribute to key decisions and provide solutions
• Develop innovative solutions to enhance application functionality
• Gather and analyze requirements from cross-functional teams
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and issues
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies for continuous improvement

Skills:

• Proficiency in Cobol programming
• Experience with mainframe databases like IBM Db2
• Knowledge of JCL for managing and executing jobs on the mainframe
• Familiarity with Configuration & Release Management, Design & Build Enablement, and Build Management
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively
• Attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills in English and German languages

Candidate’s Profile

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work collaboratively within a team environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Cobol Mainframe development, along with excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills in both English and German are necessary for effective collaboration across teams. The candidate should also be proactive in staying updated with industry trends and technologies.

Additional Information:

• This position is located in Zürich.
• You will be employed by Akkodis but will carry out your day-to-day duties at our client's company.
• The position requires proficiency in Cobol Mainframe at a Master level.
• IBM Db2 at a Master level is recommended.
• Language skills required: English, German.
