Your Role
Our client is looking for a senior SAP FI CO Consultant to join them.
The ideal person for this role demonstrates a high level of professionalism, prioritizing the design, implementation, and optimization of financial technology solutions, particularly within SAP and group reporting domains.
Responsibilities include leveraging in-depth knowledge of finance processes and IT systems to contribute to process improvements, manage project activities, and act as a key resource in resolving complex problems to ensure the execution of main activities for important results.
Essential Functions
- Manage projects and processes related to Finance solutions independently, working with limited supervision and making tactical choices within established functional policies and broad procedures to achieve goals.
- Participate in projects of moderate complexity within the Finance solutions domain, actively contributing to process improvements and ensuring the effective execution of main activities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Finance processes and systems, along with a basic understanding of related finance and technology disciplines, to adapt departmental plans and recommend innovative solutions and best practices.
- Perform a variety of complex and non-complex tasks, requiring thorough analysis to understand problems and support the delivery of solutions to complex Finance challenges where clear precedent may not exist.
- Be responsible for the execution of main activities to obtain important business results for the Finance function, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide leadership and guidance to professionals and/or support staff on Finance solution methodologies and best practices as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the BT Global Business Operations/Application and Product Development department to enhance Finance technology landscapes.
- Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to solve problems and act, ensuring effective management of work even in challenging or evolving situations.

- Directly influences the efficiency and accuracy of Bunge's global financial reporting and analysis processes.
- Plays a critical role in the success of moderate-to-complex finance technology projects with impact across various business units.
- Contributes to significant process improvements that enhance operational effectiveness and decision-making capabilities within the finance function.

- Successful completion of assigned projects and initiatives within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Effectiveness of implemented solutions in improving financial process efficiency and data quality.
- Contribution to the resolution of complex financial system issues and reduction in recurring problems.
- Adherence to best practices and recommended solutions within the finance technology landscape.
Major Opportunities and Decisions:
- Analyzing complex financial system problems that require in-depth investigation and interpretation to develop effective solutions.
- Identifying opportunities to improve existing financial processes through technology, even in the absence of clear precedents.
- Making informed decisions regarding solution design and implementation within projects to ensure alignment with financial objectives and IT architecture.
- Adapting departmental plans and recommending tactical choices to reach established financial goals, balancing innovation with operational stability.
Key Relationships, Stakeholders & Interfaces (External & Internal): Internally, this role interacts closely with finance business users, other IT teams (e.g., application support, infrastructure), project managers, and leadership within BT CoE SAP & Group Reporting. Externally, engagement may include collaboration with SAP consultants, technology vendors, and other service providers to ensure optimal solution delivery.
Knowledge and Technical Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Finance modules (e.g., FICO) and their integration with other business processes, such as assets, profit center accounting, month-end processes, etc.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting, consolidation, and reporting principles.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing financial solutions, including configuration, customization, and testing.
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Working knowledge of relevant industry best practices in financial system management and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Minimum Requirements: Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 6 - 10 years of position related experience in Finance operations, finance technology, or a related Business Technology field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience level. Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years hands on experience in the requirements gathering/ fit-gap, design/blueprinting, and configuration/customization phase of SAP transformation programs with SAP modules FICO (preferably both ECC and S4 HANA).
- Exceptional understanding of finance and accounting processes and able to translate this into SAP solutions.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
- You are analytical, punctual and can work independently under pressure.
- You enjoy working in a team to tackle challenging problems on a day-to-day basis.
- The confidence and ability to make recommendations concerning SAP business requirements.
- Experience with senior stakeholder management in a global environment.
