AI/ML Engineer (Production AI / Azure)

About the Role

For a large-scale AI platform modernization at ABN AMRO, delivered by Kyndryl, we are looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer with hands-on experience deploying AI systems in production environments (agentic AI focus).

This is not a traditional data science role, we are looking for someone who can design, build, and operationalize AI systems at scale within an enterprise Azure ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI platform architectures on Microsoft Azure
• Build and deploy production-grade AI solutions (agentic / autonomous systems)
• Set up and optimize Azure Databricks serverless environments
• Integrate AI solutions with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices

Develop AI capabilities such as:

• Data masking & PII detection
• Document intelligence

Ensure:

• Observability, monitoring, and alerting
• Performance optimization
• Security and compliance

What We’re Looking For

Must-have:

• Proven experience with AI systems in production (agentic AI preferred)
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure (AI/ML + platform engineering)

Deep knowledge of:

• Azure Databricks (including serverless)
• Azure Functions, Event Grid, Logic Apps
• Programming: Python, PySpark, SQL

Experience with:

• CI/CD (Azure DevOps)
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
• MLOps

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with enterprise security & compliance for AI workloads
• Knowledge of cost optimization and scaling strategies
• Strong stakeholder communication / consulting mindset
