    We are looking for a Configuration and Data Management Officer to join our Akkodis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. 


    Tasks to be performed:


    Configuration and Data Management Coordination:

    • Lead overall Configuration and Data Management, Planning, and Reviews support, ensuring common approaches and tools are used effectively.
    • Provide recommendations for improvements and ensure the service operates independently under the guidance of the WPTR and Work Package Service Manager.


    Information and Documentation Management Support:

    • Implement information and data management for program and project teams.
    • Maintain overall project information coherence, ensuring effective and efficient use of data.
    • Oversee the creation, collection, review, storage, and archiving of project information.
    • Maintain structured configuration electronic record systems.
    • Monitor data security, accessibility, and reliability in collaboration with relevant teams.
    • Conduct quarterly user access reviews for the CSC documentation system.
    • Coordinate with ESA corporate IT on tool setup (e.g., Polaris, SharePoint, MS Teams).
    • Work closely with Project System Security Officers (PSSOs) and Information Security Officers (ISO) on data protection and security matters.
    • Support preparation and execution of management audits.
    • Provide assistance with project reporting and presentations.


    Configuration Planning & Management:

    • Act as a focal point for configuration management interfaces with project management, engineering, product assurance, and safety teams.
    • Ensure effective management of project documentation, engineering requirements, and configuration baselines.
    • Support change control processes and prepare Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings.
    • Maintain records of Change Requests, Contract Change Notices, and other relevant configuration management documentation.
    • Assist in management audits and configuration verification processes.
    • Support project teams with CADM processes and industry interfaces.


    Review Coordination & Support:

    • Coordinate and support review logistics, ensuring a harmonized CADM process across projects.
    • Act as a focal point for review logistics, interfacing with project teams, suppliers, and reviewers.
    • Manage electronic Review Item Discrepancy tracking systems (eRID), ensuring compliance with security requirements.
    • Verify completeness and registration of data packs, ensuring timely distribution and issue resolution.
    • Provide technical support during review cycles, including RID tracking, disposition, and follow-ups.
    • Compile review close-out reports and capture lessons learned for CADM improvements.

     

    CADM Process Development & Training:

    • Define and update CADM plans, ensuring standardization across projects.
    • Develop CADM implementation requirements for industrial contracts.
    • Create and maintain CADM processes, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
    • Provide training to users and stakeholders on CADM processes and tools.
    • Support automation and efficiency improvements in CADM processes.
    • Contribute to working groups on CADM methodologies and emerging technologies (e.g., MBSE, AI).

    Candidate Profile

    To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background / experience is required: 

    • Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline with at least 8+ years of experience in Configuration Management within the space industry.
    • Proven experience with ESA Configuration Management requirements and standards (e.g., MS-ESA-RQ-100, MS-ESA-RQ-108, ECSS-M40).
    • Strong knowledge of space programs, configuration management procedures, and supporting tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with international engineering, technical, and business teams.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to manage priorities under high workload conditions.
    • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
