Data Center Technician

• Setup and Maintenance: Prepare, stage, and set up equipment such as racks, hard drives, and switches as per guidelines and protocols. Conduct startups and shutdowns efficiently.
• Quality Assurance: Perform post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to safety standards and Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using established procedures to identify and replace faulty components promptly.
• Hardware Decommissioning: Carry out hardware decommissioning for routine changes and upgrades following prescribed procedures.
• Incident Management: Follow protocols to communicate, report, and escalate incidents to Datacenter Technician Leads when necessary.

Candidate’s Profile

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of computer hardware, servers, and related components.
• Experience: 1+ year(s) supporting IT equipment or related technology.
• Software Proficiency: Basic skills in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Flexibility: Ability to work non-standard hours including weekends and holidays.

Previous datacenter experience is a definite plus!
