    We are looking for a Data Handling Engineer for an opportunity at our client in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.


    General tasks to be performed: 

    • Operation of Mechanical and Thermal data handling facilities during test preparation, execution and post-test activities
    • Performance of corrective and preventive maintenance of Thermal and Mechanical Data Handling facilities.
    • Supporting the Test Programme Managers and thermal/mechanical test engineers in all technical issues related to data handling.
    • Handling and calibration of Thermal and Mechanical test instrumentation.
    • Participation to technical reviews such as Non-conformance Review Board, Facility Readiness Review, Lesson Learnt Review.
    • Maintenance of Linux/Windows based operational PCs and servers
    • Supporting of facility modifications and upgrades.
    • Compilation of test and maintenance documentation.
    • Cooperating with international customers in the frame of complex space programs and industrial projects.

    Candidate’s Profile

    To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background / experience is required: 

    • A university degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent.
    • At least three years of experience in the fields of measurement and calibration as well as test instrumentation.
    • Experience in the field of IT and network infrastructure sysadmin, programming.
    • Coursework / training in process control, signal processing and measurement systems / techniques.
    • Good knowledge of signal processing and sensors applied to thermal and mechanical testing.
    • Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and technologies, and management of these environments; (Windows 10, Windows Servers, Debian/Ubuntu Linux, RedHat Linux)
    • Knowledge and experience with networking infrastructure (Cisco ASA Firewalls, NetGear ProSafe Firewalls/Routers, VLAN’s, ACL, Ports, Mac Address Authentication, Security Zones.)
    • Good knowledge of English language.
    • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in an international environment.
    • Ability to perform tasks accurately according to internal processes and customer needs.
    • Proactive attitude to solve problems with a critical mind.
    • Ability to work in shift.
