Mechanical / Electrical Technician

We are looking for a Mechanical / Electrical Technician for an opportunity at our client in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.

General tasks to be performed: 

• Maintenance of Mechanical Test Facilities (electromagnetic and hydraulic shaker systems, acoustic test facilities, shock and mass property measurement facilities
• Prepare the test setup and operate the facilities under the guidance of the test responsible for complex tests and perform standard tests autonomously
• In case of facility anomalies, lead technical investigations and implement corrective actions
• Ensure that 3rd party suppliers efficiently perform their tasks on site by providing support during major maintenance interventions or facility modifications
• Provision of technical support to the European Space Agency (ESA) during facility upgrades
• Contribute to continuous improvement by providing suggestions and participating to Lesson Learnt Reviews
• Ensure that the mechanical test facility performance is according to specification by maintaining the equipment and tools as planned.
• Ensure that tests are performed in a timely and efficient manner, in the right configuration by providing operational support during test and facility preparation.

Candidate’s Profile

To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background / experience is required: 

• Technical education or training in the field of maintenance of complex industrial facilities or similar
• Broad experience in maintenance and operation of electro-mechanical and hydraulic equipment
• Experience with the use of PLC and SCADA systems is desirable
• Ability to perform tasks accurately according to internal and external standards
• Pro active mindset and problem solving skills
• Fluent English language skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
