Software Test Engineer

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join Akkodis team in Hengelo, the Netherlands.

About the position:

Are you passionate about ensuring seamless integration and verification of cutting-edge software solutions? Thales is seeking a dedicated Software Test IVVQ Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will:

·        Test Preparation and Execution: Follow the strategy outlined by the IVVQ Manager to perform module, program, or unit testing of individual software components.

·        Integration Planning: Define a step-by-step integration tree in line with the system release plan.

·        Software Development: Develop, deploy, and maintain software to support test management, design, execution, and result checking.

·        Investigative Support: Provide support for staging or SIL environments using advanced software or hardware tools.

·        Test Equipment Identification: Identify standard or specialized test equipment and any special calibration requirements for each test activity.

·        IVVQ Activity Management: Plan, estimate, monitor, and control IVVQ activities effectively.

·        Solution Validation: Determine the necessary systems to validate solutions and define operational scenarios and validation criteria to ensure compliance.

·        Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that customer expectations are met through thorough testing and validation.

·        Test Campaigns: Prepare, execute, and analyze test campaigns meticulously.

·        Documentation: Write and update integration and verification test procedures.

·        Customer Demonstrations: Lead demonstrations to showcase the product to end customers.

Important competencies for this position to have:

·        You have a deep understanding of the Engineering Project Management Principles

·        You have good knowledge of:

o  Component testing

o  Integration & Verification

o  Test automation

o  Test equipment

o  Test Management

o  Validation & Acceptance

·        You know how to deal with data, and you are familiar with programming languages.

·        You have a proven capacity to ensure success by meeting deadlines and achieving a balanced budget.

·        You demonstrate strong leadership and are willing to mentor and grow junior team members.

·        You know how to use your creativity to give full customer satisfaction.

Generally about you:

·        You have graduated with a Master of Engineering (Aeronautical/Space Engineering, Computer Science, …) and have a significant proven experience (3 to 5 years) in the following: Test, Integration, Verification, and Validation.

·        You are recognised as a team player and enjoy collaborative work.

·        You are analytical, structured and synthetic.

·        You are considered as a problem-solver.

·        You sound convincing and persuasive.

·        You enjoy dealing with diverse and complex projects.

·        You are eligible to obtain a MIVD Screening B.
