Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Manage project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of parts for each program milestone.
Design and Engineering Specifications: Release drawings and engineering specifications, translating customer, regulatory, and product requirements into engineering targets.
Document Creation: Develop FMA (Failure Mode Analysis) Documents, DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report), and other quality documents to support the engineering process.
Supplier Coordination: Track deliverables from suppliers, analyze customer feedback, and monitor supplier progress using systems such as WERS, FEDE, GPDS, and Catia.
Design Compliance: Ensure parts comply with corporate and local validation requirements, including WCR (Worldwide Customer Requirements), ES (Engineering Specifications), and SDS (System Design Specifications).
Assembly Plant Coordination: Incorporate new designs and engineering changes at the Assembly Plant and lead discussions with relevant stakeholders, including suppliers.
Production and Quality Support: Assist production with part approval processes (PPAP) for mass production and provide support for any quality or manufacturing issues that arise in current production.
Qualifications
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Design and Release (D&R) Engineer.
Preferred: Experience with restraints systems is highly advantageous.
Technical Skills: Proficient in WERS, FEDE, GPDS, Catia, and other relevant automotive systems.
Education: Degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).

Program Management: Excellent program management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong team player with outstanding interpersonal skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical and production challenges effectively.
Additional Requirements
Safety Training/Certification: Safety training or certifications relevant to automotive engineering is preferred.
Travel: Some travel is required (approximately 10%), including overnight and multi-day stays within the U.S. and Mexico.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per week
