Apache Services Architect

Akkodis is seeking an Apache Services Architect for a contract with a client based in San Diego, CA. This position requires a highly experienced architect with deep technical expertise in Apache Spark, Parquet, and Arrow, along with strong database design and communication skills.

Pay Rate: $53.03 - $68.18/hour on W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Apache Services Architect Responsibilities:

• Provide architectural direction and design for distributed data systems using Apache Spark.

• Leverage deep experience with Apache Parquet and Arrow for optimized data processing and storage.

• Design robust database schemas and solutions, acting as the technical architect on key data initiatives.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement solutions using Redis and PostgreSQL.

• Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment across project goals.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of experience working with Apache Spark and related big data services.

• At least 5+ years of experience with Apache Parquet and Apache Arrow.

• Proven experience in database architecture and design.

• Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with Redis and PostgreSQL.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.

Pay Details: $53.03 to $68.18 per hour
