Apigee Senior Developer

Akkodis is seeking an Apigee Senior Developer for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize scalable API solutions using Apigee to support secure and high‑performance digital integrations.

Rate Range: $34/hour to $41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Apigee Senior Developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain API proxies and shared flows using Apigee to support scalable and secure digital integrations.

• Implement API policies for security, traffic management, monitoring, throttling, and transformation.

• Develop custom logic using JavaScript to enhance API behavior, validation, and backend integration.

• Collaborate with architects and application teams to define API design standards and best practices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize API performance, reliability, and error handling.

• Support API lifecycle activities including deployment, versioning, documentation, and production support.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in API development with Apigee.

• Strong expertise in Apigee API proxy development, policy implementation, and API lifecycle management.

• Proficiency in JavaScript with experience designing secure, scalable, and high‑performance enterprise APIs.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $41.00 per hour
