Buyer II

Akkodis is seeking a Buyer II for a Contract with a client in Plymouth, MN. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing purchase orders, maintaining inventory levels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies.

Rate Range: $34/hour to $36/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Buyer II Job Responsibilities include:

• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for direct materials, including raw materials, electronics, plastic tubing, labels, and other production-related components.

• Review purchase requisitions, create and issue purchase orders, and monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and inventory availability.

• Maintain and update ERP/SAP system data, including pricing, lead times, order quantities, and supplier master information.

• Resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and supply constraints while coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Participate in inventory and supply planning reviews, proactively acting with suppliers to maintain target inventory levels and prevent shortages.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to support business objectives and ensure seamless material flow.

 

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or a related field preferred.

• 2-5 years of purchasing/procurement experience required, including 2+ years of direct materials purchasing; 5+ years preferred in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

• Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems, including purchase order management, inventory planning, and supplier coordination.

• Proven ability to work independently, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and proactively manage supplier performance and inventory levels.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
