    Akkodis is seeking a CAE Engineer General for a contract job with a client in Allen Park, MI. You will develop and analyze full vehicle crashworthiness models using ANSA, PRIMER, and LS-Dyna to meet global safety standards.

    Rate Range: $38/hour to 40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    CAE Engineer General job responsibilities include:

    • Develop and validate finite element models for full vehicle crash simulations using tools like ANSA, PRIMER, and HYPERMESH.

    • Perform structural safety analysis using LS-Dyna and HyperWorks to evaluate crashworthiness against regulatory and consumer safety standards (e.g., FMVSS, USNCAP, Euro NCAP).

    • Correlate simulation results with physical test data to improve model accuracy and document best practices for future development.

    • Support concept development by using morphing and optimization tools to explore innovative design solutions.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and ensure simulation results meet design and safety requirements.

    • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the development of standard procedures for model building and simulation workflows.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 5 years in CAE structural safety analysis and crashworthiness simulation.

    • Proficiency in LS-Dyna, ANSA, PRIMER, and HyperMesh for full vehicle crash modeling.

    • Experience correlating CAE results with physical crash test data and meeting global safety standards (FMVSS, USNCAP, Euro NCAP, IIHS).

    Pay Details: $38.00 to $40.00 per hour
