    Akkodis is seeking a Cleanroom Assembly Technician for a contract opportunity with a client in Wilmington, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, hands-on expertise, and the ability to interpret technical documentation.


    Pay Rate: $37 - $40/hr on W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    Cleanroom Assembly Technician Job Responsibilities:

    • Assemble complex optical and mechanical components within a Class 100 (ISO 5) cleanroom or lab environment.

    • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and manufacturing instructions.

    • Perform high-precision lapping of materials to strict tolerances for flatness, parallelism, and angles.

    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues during assembly; identify corrective actions to ensure quality and functionality.

    • Maintain strict traceability of kit components throughout the assembly process.

    • Handle and bond sensitive optical components (e.g., mirrors, lenses) with micron-level precision.

    • Provide proactive feedback to engineers to improve manufacturing documentation and procedures.

    • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

    • Strong hands-on mechanical assembly background.

    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

    • Prior experience working in a Class 100 cleanroom environment.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Experience using torque wrenches, multimeters, and other precision tools.

    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    Pay Details: $37.00 to $40.00 per hour
