Cloud Java developer

Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Java developer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate is responsible for modernizing and optimizing Java-based applications by migrating and integrating them with Google Cloud Spanner while ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

Rate Range: $47/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Cloud Java developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing across enterprise applications.

• Create and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Rest Assured, Postman, and Karate.

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, quality validation, and rapid software delivery.

• Lead test strategy, test planning, defect management, and quality assurance activities for complex application features and releases.

• Perform performance and load testing, analyze test results, and ensure application reliability, scalability, and stability.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to drive best practices, mentor junior QA engineers, and improve overall testing processes.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Test Automation, and Software Testing.

• Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks including Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Rest Assured, Postman, and Karate, along with automation framework development.

• Proven expertise in CI/CD integration, performance testing, QA strategy, test planning, defect management, Agile delivery methodologies, and prior Apple project experience.

Pay Details: $47.00 to $49.00 per hour
