Construction Safety Manager

Akkodis is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a Contract job with a client in San Antonio, Texas. This role requires experience in managing large-scale civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and experience with Microsoft’s construction safety protocols.

Rate Range: $84.00/hour to $85.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Construction Safety Manager job responsibilities include:

• Serve as the primary on-site representative for Microsoft’s Land Development & Community (LDC) team.

• Lead the site team and ensure alignment with Execution Manager’s intent.

• Monitor and report on General Contractor (GC) performance in executing Early Works scope.

• Ensure compliance with Microsoft’s Global Construction Safety Policy and local regulations.

• Collaborate with the Project Safety Advisor to monitor High-Risk Activities and enforce safety plans.

• Track project milestones, schedule adherence, and budget utilization.

• Facilitate communication between Microsoft stakeholders and external parties.

• Maintain daily logs, weekly progress reports, and monthly summaries.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 8 years of experience managing large-scale civil construction projects; 10+ years preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft’s construction safety protocols and Enablon reporting is preferred.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and technical design principles.

Pay Details: $84.00 to $85.00 per hour
