Data Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Data Architect for a Contract with a client in Tampa, FL. The candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable graph data solutions and building high‑quality knowledge graphs that enable efficient discovery, integration, and insight across complex datasets.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Architect Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable graph-based data architectures and knowledge fabric platforms using graph databases such as Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or TigerGraph.

• Create and manage knowledge graphs and ontology-driven models (including OWL) to represent complex relationships and enable advanced data discovery.

• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load large, interconnected datasets into graph environments with high data quality and consistency.

• Optimize graph data storage, queries, and retrieval for performance, scalability, and efficiency using graph query languages like Cypher, Gremlin, or SPARQL.

• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust graph solutions and integrated data services.

• Establish data governance, security standards, documentation, and architectural best practices while staying current with emerging graph, AI/ML, and semantic web technologies.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

• 6–8 years of experience as a Data Architect or Data Engineer, with a strong focus on graph databases and knowledge fabric implementations.

• Hands-on expertise in graph databases, knowledge graphs, and ontology modeling (including OWL), with experience designing scalable graph data architectures.

• Proven ability to work in client-facing, cross-functional environments, translating complex data and business requirements into robust architectural solutions.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
