Data Center Technician (Junior)

Akkodis is seeking a Data Center Technician (Junior) for a Contract with a client in Leesburg, VA. The ideal candidate will perform hands-on data center tasks such as replacing computer parts and installing ethernet/fiber cables while maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Rate Range: $28.34/hour to $30.34/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Data Center Technician (Junior) job responsibilities include:

• Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the data center environment.

• Assemble/disassemble and populate/depopulate equipment racks as required.

• Replace computer hardware parts and perform basic repairs using hand and power tools.

• Run and install ethernet and fiber optic cables following defined processes.

• Operate barcode scanners and associated software tools for inventory and tracking.

 

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in hardware handling or data center operations

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment with frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing

• Basic knowledge of computer components and proficiency in common computer applications (email, chat).

Pay Details: $28.34 to $30.34 per hour
