Data Platform Support Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Platform Support Engineer for a Contract with a client in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate is responsible for investigating and resolving complex data platform issues using SQL, APIs, and system logs while ensuring timely case ownership and customer communication.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Platform Support Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Investigate and resolve complex data platform issues using SQL queries, API calls, logs, and internal tools.

• Take end-to-end ownership of support tickets, ensuring timely updates, resolution, and root cause analysis.

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers via email, calls, and ticketing systems to ensure high satisfaction.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to report bugs, provide insights, and drive product improvements.

• Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and solutions in the knowledge base for future reference.

• Monitor data systems and proactively identify issues, ensuring reliability and performance of data warehouse environments.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.

• 6–8 years of experience in data platform support, data warehousing, or production support roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, data warehousing concepts, and scripting using Python/Linux for troubleshooting and analysis.

• Proven ability to analyze logs, work with API integrations, and support SaaS-based data platforms while ensuring effective customer communication and issue resolution.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
