    Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a contract with a client in Chicago, IL(Hybrid). The ideal will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing applications on z/OS systems and supporting CICS and DB2 environments.

    Rate Range: $49/hour to 55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Developer job responsibilities include:

    • Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using Natural, Adabas, COBOL, JCL, and SQL.

    • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within z/OS, CICS, and DB2 environments.

    • Perform system testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure efficient and reliable application functionality.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application integration and resolve production issues.

    • Document code and processes to ensure maintainability and compliance with organizational standards.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 8 years in mainframe development.

    • Proficiency in Natural and Adabas with hands-on experience in Software AG environments.

    • Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, SQL, and mainframe technologies including z/OS, CICS, and DB2.

    Pay Details: $49.00 to $55.00 per hour
