Developer-Full Stack Senior

Akkodis is seeking a Developer-Full Stack Senior for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate with expertise designing, developing, and supporting scalable cloud-native backend platforms, microservices, and event-driven systems that enable critical Multifamily business capabilities.

Rate Range: $85/hour to $90/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer-Full Stack Senior Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Java-based microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven distributed applications in cloud-native environments.

• Build and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, AMQ messaging, Kubernetes, and AWS to deliver scalable and resilient business solutions.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to define requirements and implement technical solutions.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and cloud deployment processes to improve delivery efficiency and application quality.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues through incident management, root cause analysis, application observability, and continuous improvement practices.

• Contribute to platform modernization initiatives by implementing secure, high-performance, and maintainable backend architecture while reducing technical debt and promoting engineering best practices.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on expertise in enterprise backend application development.

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, AWS, Kubernetes, MongoDB, and event-driven distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience building cloud-native platforms, CI/CD pipelines, AMQ/Kafka-style messaging solutions, and secure, scalable backend services in enterprise environments.

Pay Details: $85.00 to $90.00 per hour
