    Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract job with a client in SAN Jose, CA(Hybrid). This role involves maintaining C++ executables on Windows Server and contributing to Java-based transitions while supporting high-volume financial transactions.

    Rate Range: $49/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Developer job responsibilities include:

    • Maintain and support legacy C++ applications running on Windows Server, ensuring stability and performance of critical financial transaction systems.

    • Assist in the migration of legacy code to Java, contributing to modernization efforts while ensuring backward compatibility.

    • Perform Windows Server upgrades and configurations as required to support application functionality and security compliance.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and ensure seamless transaction processing across platforms like Venmo, Braintree, PayPal, and Xoom.

    • Participate in quick evaluations and onboarding processes, demonstrating proactive problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones within the 4-month timeline, aligning with the November moratorium deadline.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

    • 6–8 years of hands-on development experience.

    • Strong experience with C++ on Windows Server, including maintaining and supporting legacy codebases.

    • Proficiency in Java and ability to contribute to code migration and modernization efforts.

    Pay Details: $49.00 to $64.00 per hour
