    Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Byron, IL. Responsibilities include developing design change packages and supporting nuclear plant refueling outages.

    Rate Range: $61/hour to $62/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Electrical Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Develop and author design change packages in accordance with IP-ENG-001 industry design standards.

    • Provide electrical design engineering support during nuclear power plant refueling outages.

    • Perform power systems modeling and analysis using tools such as ETAP or EMTP.

    • Support implementation of major upgrade projects, including MUR, EPU/SPU, and turbine or generator replacements.

    • Ensure compliance with nuclear safety protocols, including maintaining unescorted access and radiological worker qualifications.

    • Conduct technical evaluations and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

    • Preferably 4+ years of relevant experience (negotiable).

    • Experience in electrical design engineering for industrial or power plant systems, including modeling with ETAP or EMTP.

    • Prior involvement in nuclear-related projects such as MUR, EPU/SPU, turbine retrofits, or generator replacements.

    Pay Details: $61.00 to $62.00 per hour
