    Electrical Product Engineer II

    Direct Hire /FTE

    Onsite in Omaha, NE

    Some international travel 2x a year

    Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 yearly

    Relo assistance on a case by case basis

    In this position, you will be an important part Electrical Products Engineering team.

    • Communicates directly with Customers and Sales staff to guide their decision-making process and find solutions to meet their requirements.

    • Develop an expert-level understanding of assigned products.

    • Corrects any errors/omissions that occur in an expeditious manner and looks for ways to reduce/eliminate reoccurring errors.

    • Supports corrective action investigation, analysis, and permanent corrective action implementation.

    • Performs on-site inspections and supports commissioning activities.

    • Review and/or modify product layouts/drawings/schematics as needed to meet the customer’s requirements.

    • Processes Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for the product line(s).

    • Helps external and internal customers with PLC related questions and projects.

    • Conducts design review meetings with sales, manufacturing, and quality assurance personnel, for special engineered products.

    • Reviews Industrial Networking and Automation system designs to specify products that provide control, energy, and data transmission solutions.

    • Locates design and application files related to the required design(s), and makes design modifications, as appropriate.

    • Prepares component, product, and/or layout and detailed drawings and schematics using SolidWorks, EPLAN, and AutoCAD/DraftSight.

    • Initiates and writes Test Requests, analyzes results, and takes appropriate action. Occasionally performs tests.

    Required Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical/Electrical Design, or Engineering/Technology & 3 years related experience and/or training

      or

    • Associate degree (A.S.) in Mechanical/Electrical Design, or Engineering/Technology & 5 years related experience and/or training

      or

    • 7 + years of equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Qualified candidates will possess the following:

    • Ability to communicate and effectively document conversations with Sales and/or Customers concerning applications and technical requirements.

    • Experience with PLC programming (even if its small code ladder logic) preferably Allen Bradley or Siemens but open to others

    • Understanding of industrial networking, mobile electrification, and industrial control systems

    Ideal candidates will:

    • Electrical background (school or experience)

      • Strong troubleshooting products/services skills

        • While client facing have exceptional communication and time management skills

    • Take the initiative to "get things done"

    • Approach issues with a “hands on” problem solving mentality

      • Enjoys troubleshooting and enjoys deep understanding of root cause analysis and problem resolution
