    Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a contract with a client in Chicago, IL(Remote). This role involves designing and maintaining multi-tier PKI infrastructures and implementing enterprise-grade encryption and key management solutions.

    Rate Range: $41/hour to 49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Design and implement multi-tier Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to support secure enterprise operations.

    • Deploy and manage Certificate Management Systems, with hands-on experience in Keyfactor and other platforms like Venafi and AppViewX.

    • Configure and maintain Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) including Thales Luna, Entrust nCipher, and Fortanix.

    • Develop and enforce encryption strategies for data-at-rest, data-in-transit, and data-in-use across structured and unstructured datasets.

    • Integrate certificate management into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Ansible and Jenkins for containerized environments.

    • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to evaluate new data protection technologies and ensure alignment with risk management strategies.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 10 years in PKI design, encryption, and certificate management.

    • Hands-on experience with the Keyfactor platform is mandatory.

    • Proven expertise in deploying and managing HSMs and enterprise encryption solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.

    Pay Details: $41.00 to $49.00 per hour
