    Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a contract with a client in Chicago, IL. Candidates must be proficient in cloud-native technologies, microservices/API development, and managing infrastructure through the full SDLC.

    Rate Range: $41/hour to 60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Design and develop cloud-native applications leveraging Azure services such as AKS/ACA, CosmosDB, and Databricks to meet business and technical requirements.

    • Implement and secure cloud infrastructure, including subnets, API gateways, caching technologies, and streaming platforms, ensuring compliance with SSDLC practices.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business models and user requirements, translating them into scalable technical solutions.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, proposing innovative solutions and ensuring high system reliability and performance.

    • Develop and maintain data pipelines using both SQL and NoSQL technologies, supporting real-time data processing and analytics.

    • Contribute to CI/CD workflows and observability practices, using tools like Dynatrace, AppInsights, and OpenTelemetry to monitor and optimize application performance.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or associate degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or 7+ years of relevant IT experience.

    • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.

    • Proven expertise in building and securing cloud-native applications using Azure services such as AKS/ACA, CosmosDB, and Databricks.

    • Strong background in microservices/API development, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools like Dynatrace and AppInsights.

    Pay Details: $41.00 to $60.00 per hour
