Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate is an Embedded Systems Firmware Engineer with strong C/C++ skills, responsible for driver development and working with hardware layers on tight timelines.
Rate Range: $75/hour to $95/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Engineer job responsibilities include:
Developing and optimizing embedded firmware
Designing and implementing driver software
Collaborating with hardware teams for integration
Ensuring code quality and testing
Managing firmware updates and troubleshooting issues
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field
7 - 10 years of experience in embedded systems and firmware development
Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming
Experience with TI chips and firmware
Expertise in driver development and hardware integration
Ability to work under tight project timelines

Pay Details: $75.00 to $95.00 per hour
