Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. Candidates must be highly proficient in Python, with the ability to build LangChain agents and develop custom MCP‑based tools.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and optimize AI agent architectures using Python and modern GenAI frameworks.

• Build, program, and deploy LangChain-based agents to support advanced automation and intelligence use cases.

• Develop and integrate MCPs or custom tools that extend agent capabilities and improve system performance.

• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to prototype innovative GenAI solutions and drive technical innovation.

• Conduct research, experiment with emerging AI technologies, and translate new ideas into actionable features.

• Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability while contributing to the continuous enhancement of AI products and tools.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.

• 8–10 years of hands‑on engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python for AI/GenAI development.

• Proven expertise in building and programming LangChain agents, including designing agent workflows and architectures.

• Experience developing MCPs or integrating custom tools into AI agents to extend functionality and drive innovation.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
