Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Napa, CA. This role requires strong experience in DevOps and secure building systems to automate processes, manage infrastructure, and enhance software delivery with security and traceability controls.

Rate Range: $34/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, ensuring reliable and repeatable software releases.

• Collaborate with product, QA, and validation teams to enable compliant, auditable, and high-quality release processes.

• Automate build, test, and deployment workflows, including SBOM generation and secure artifact management.

• Manage and optimize build environments, including VM provisioning, Windows OS image creation, and container-based builds.

• Integrate security practices such as static code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and secure supply chain controls.

• Troubleshoot complex DevSecOps issues, maintain documentation, and mentor teams on CI/CD and secure development best practices.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• 6–8 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or build and release engineering roles. 

• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), Windows build environments, OS image creation, and secure pipeline implementation. 

• Expertise in DevSecOps practices, including SBOM generation, static code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and secure software supply chain management.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $47.00 per hour
