    Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a contract with a client in Omaha, NE. This role involves triggering capacity projects and designing infrastructure upgrades to support network growth.

    Rate Range: $37/hour to 49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Manage and forecast critical infrastructure capacity to support network growth, including triggering projects for system relief.

    • Design and evaluate mechanical and electrical systems such as AC distribution, UPS, STS, and generators within telecommunications facilities.

    • Perform engineering work and applied research for new projects, including design, fabrication, and modification of equipment and systems.

    • Analyze complex systems and customer network environments to plan, size, and select infrastructure components cost-effectively.

    • Create and update technical drawings using AutoCAD, including electrical onelines, mechanical, structural, and architectural plans.

    • Lead or support engineering teams and technical projects, providing guidance with minimal supervision.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or related field).

    • 6–8 years in infrastructure engineering within telecommunications or similar industries.

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating and updating technical drawings (e.g., floor plans, electrical onelines).

    • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, AC distribution, UPS, STS, and generators used in telecom facilities.

    Pay Details: $37.00 to $49.00 per hour
