Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing and optimizing AWS-based load balancing solutions while ensuring efficient traffic distribution across network layers.

Rate Range: $66/hour to $69/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Manage and maintain AWS Elastic Load Balancers (ELB) to ensure optimal traffic distribution and high system availability.

• Analyze and troubleshoot application traffic across Layers 4–7 to identify and resolve performance issues.

• Lead and execute load balancer migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption and smooth transitions.

• Monitor and resolve network and connectivity issues, maintaining stable and efficient infrastructure operations.

• Collaborate with teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including non-technical users.

• Support infrastructure setup and equipment handling while ensuring flexibility and adherence to operational requirements.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.

• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS services, especially Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), with deep understanding of Layer 4–7 traffic analysis.

• Proven experience in leading load balancer migrations and troubleshooting complex network issues while ensuring high availability and performance.

Pay Details: $66.00 to $69.00 per hour
