Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing and optimizing application traffic through AWS ELB while leading load balancer migrations and ensuring high availability across network layers.

Rate Range: $66/hour to $69/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Manage and optimize AWS Elastic Load Balancers (ELB) to ensure high availability and performance of applications.

• Analyze application traffic across Layers 4–7 to diagnose issues and improve network efficiency.

• Lead and execute load balancer migration projects with minimal downtime and risk.

• Troubleshoot complex network and application connectivity issues across multi-layer environments.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and provide clear communication to both technical and non-technical users.

• Support infrastructure changes, including equipment setup and configuration, while ensuring operational stability.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.

• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS services, particularly Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), with deep understanding of Layer 4–7 traffic analysis.

• Proven experience leading load balancer migrations and troubleshooting complex network issues while effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Pay Details: $66.00 to $69.00 per hour
