Engineering Technician

Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician for a contract with a client in State College, PA. The ideal candidate must have advanced experience testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating avionics electronics, with the ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics.

Rate Range: $35/hour to 37.50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Engineering Technician job responsibilities include:

• Test, troubleshoot, and calibrate avionics and electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with specifications.

• Assist engineers with set-up, calibration, and rework tasks related to the production and assembly of parts, components, and subassemblies.

• Interpret and work from drawings, diagrams, schematics, and test procedures to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

• Document test findings, maintenance activities, and calibration result accurately for quality assurance and traceability.

• Construct, adjust, and maintain equipment used for RF testing and tuning, ensuring correct functionality of units under test.

• Perform mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations and support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

 

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in electronics or a related technical field preferred.

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary/associate’s degree with at least 2 years of related experience.

• Advanced hands-on experience with electronic test equipment and RF calibration procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics and troubleshoot to the component level.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $37.50 per hour
