Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician for a long-term W2 contract position job with an exclusive client in Louisville, Kentucky. This role supports thermal testing operations by executing engineering test plans, setting up instrumentation, and documenting results.

Rate Range: $24.00/hour to $26.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Engineering Technician job responsibilities include:
Execute test plans by preparing and installing thermocouples, setting up instrumentation and fixturing, and performing safety checks to ensure accurate and compliant testing.
Record and report test results, document failures, interpreting data, and report findings to engineers and lab management.
Work closely with engineers to understand and execute test procedures.
Move engineering samples between test, prep, and storage areas.
Maintain lab supplies, equipment, and environment in compliance with policies.
Qualifications:
2-year technical degree, military equivalent training, professional technical certification. (4-year non-technical degree may be considered, assuming sufficient technical knowledge or experience).
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical position.
Use hand tools and power tools.
Proficient with Microsoft office products.
Understanding of test equipment and instrumentation. Able to troubleshoot test setup, confirm required accuracy is met and knowledgeable of routine maintenance.
