We're Hiring: Maintenance and Facilities Engineers
We’re seeking Maintenance Engineers and Facility Engineers for a direct hire opportunity to support the launch of cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing facilities in Kentucky and Tennessee. Be part of an innovative team shaping the future of EV battery production!
Position Overview: As a Maintenance or Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimization of critical systems in our advanced manufacturing plants. You’ll manage facility investments, energy efficiency efforts, and ensure the safety and performance of machinery and equipment, all while playing a key role in the startup of these state-of-the-art facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and manage annual maintenance/repair plans and budgets
Monitor facility conditions to ensure safety, security, and proper maintenance
Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, and utility systems
Manage facility maintenance and repair performance, including planning and scheduling
Review and approve construction drawings, manage construction documentation, and issue purchase orders
Conduct daily, monthly, and yearly facility inspections
Analyze energy usage trends and identify potential energy-saving opportunities
Manage energy saving performance and implement optimizations
Ensure compliance with safety inspections and certifications (e.g., pressure vessels, safety valves)
Supervise facility upgrades, repairs, and extensions as needed
Create and maintain facility operation manuals and documentation required by PSM/ISO standards
Troubleshoot and resolve facility abnormalities, preparing reports as needed
Serve as a technical mentor for production teams and assist in resolving technical challenges
Minimum Requirements:
Proven ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly using root cause analysis
Flexibility to rotate through various positions within the plant (production, quality, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern
Willingness to travel during the initial plant start-up phase and work remotely or in temporary facilities as needed
Leadership skills, including the ability to foster teamwork, interpersonal communication, and technical guidance
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering MUST HAVE (Electrical degrees from accredited colleges strongly preferred)
2-5 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance, utilities, or related fields
Experience with utility equipment and certifications (e.g., gas boiler, NMP-related)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: 80,000 - 120,000; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
