    Akkodis is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a Contract with a client in Pleasant Prairie, WI. The ideal candidate will perform IBM i administration and HMC maintenance while ensuring system and firmware upgrades for optimal performance.

    Rate Range: $52/hour to $55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Must-Have Skills:

    • IBM i administration

    • HMC Maintenance

    • System/Firmware Upgrades

     

    Nice-to-Have Skills:

    • I Doctor

    • Mimix

    • DR Testing

     

    Job Description/Responsibilities:

    • Perform IBM i administration, including system installs, PTF deployment, HMC maintenance, system firmware, software installation, configuration, custom development, and security requirements.

    • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.

    • Review system logs, application logs and verify the successful completion of scheduled jobs, such as backups.

    • Perform problem isolation, definition, resolution and follow-up for system, application, and customer problems.

    • Provide monthly reporting regarding system performance and assist with capacity planning requirements.

    • Maintain 3rd party software applications.

    • Participate in Disaster Recovery testing.

    • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.

    Pay Details: $52.00 to $55.00 per hour
