    SUMMARY:  The IT Project Manager directs and coordinates strategic technology projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within the committed time frame and budget. The IT PM will help to advance the state of project management within IT including solution use, standard artifacts, and a consistent delivery methodology. This is a contract to hire role.

    Pay rate of this IT Project Manager job in Rochester, NY is $45.00/hour - $55/hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Develop and execute strategic plans for IT-driven business transformation initiatives in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale IT transformation programs, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.

    • An ability to build strong customer relationships with a focus customer-centric solution delivery.

    • Hands-on, practical experience with a variety of project management methodologies – Agile experience strongly preferred.

    • Experience with project management support solutions - Microsoft Project or Workfront strongly preferred.

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business priorities.

    • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, proactively addressing issues to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.

    • Drive organizational change by promoting adoption of new technologies, processes, and ways of working, ensuring smooth transition and user acceptance.

    • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, overseeing procurement processes and monitoring vendor performance to ensure delivery of high-quality products and services.

    • Allocate resources effectively, including internal staff and external consultants, to support project activities and achieve project objectives.

    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure project success, tracking progress and providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, implementing best practices and lessons learned to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

    • An ability to effectively communicate a consistent, audience-appropriate, multi-mode message across all levels of the organization.

    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements

    • Providing direction, delegating, and removing obstacles to help the team deliver.

    • Proficient knowledge in modern office productivity, communication, and collaboration toolsets with a focus on Microsoft tools.

    • Occasional travel to facilities across the US.

    Qualifications for this IT Project Manager include:

    ·         Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

    ·         Hands-on experience with a variety of project delivery methodologies.

    ·         Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies. PMI PMP certification a strong plus.

    ·         Ability to interact with company personnel, build strong relationships at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and understand business imperatives.

    ·         Strong understanding of the business impact of IT tools, technologies, and policies.

    Pay Details: $45.00 to $52.00 per hour
