    Akkodis is seeking a Jira Administrator for one of our clients in Palo Alto, California.

    Rate Range: $55.00/hour to $65.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    This is an exciting opportunity to work on an advanced team involved in the future of EV mobility.

    This role is hybrid and reports to the office 3 days per week.

    Note that we cannot work with third-party subcontracted candidates (aka "C2C" at this time).

    Description:

    • Administer and support Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and related Atlassian tools.

    • Handle Tier 2 Jira admin support and configurations.

    • Create and manage custom workflows, fields, screens, schemes, dashboards, and permissions.

    • Maintain and optimize Jira project configurations and user roles to align with organizational processes.

    • Implement and manage Jira automation rules for improved efficiency and productivity.

    • Perform user and group management, including onboarding, permissions, and license administration.

    • Install, configure, and maintain Jira plugins and integrations with other tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, Slack, Git, Jenkins).

    • Troubleshoot and resolve Jira issues; serve as the main point of contact for Jira-related support.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored Jira solutions.

    • Ensure system health, data integrity, and security in the Jira environment.

    • Provide training, documentation, and support to end-users and administrators.

    • Partner on-site with Palo Alto operations team.

    • Train, coach, and advise internal users on Jira and Confluence usage.

    Must-haves:

    • 3–5+ years Jira Admin experience (not just usage, we are seeking an administrator).

    • Jira Cloud experience strongly preferred.

    • Comfort navigating Jira admin console: workflows, fields, permissions, projects.

    • Strong communication skills – able to coach and advise internal teams.

    Nice-to-haves:

    • Experience with Confluence.

    • Familiarity with DevOps tools and integrations.

    • Exposure to Azure IAM.

    • Background in internal ITSM-style support roles.

    Education:

    • Bachelors in Information Technology or related field.

    Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
